Stringtime offers private tuition to anyone wishing to learn a string instrument. We can help all ages and levels get top results.
Our tutor, Fimka Hampson, is an internationally trained violinist who has played professionally in both Europe and Australia. Whilst performing in Europe, she was involved in many international tours. She is a well known performer, and can be regularly seen playing first violin for multiple orchestras.
Fimka has over 20 years teaching experience, and holds both a Bachelor of Music Performance – Violin, and a Post-Graduate Diploma in Education. She has a great interest in improving the standard of violin studies for youth. To this end, she is currently also an Instrumental String Teacher for the Department of Education in QLD. Fimka’s students have consistently obtained high results in AMEB exams.
The learning environment is a private studio located in Brisbane’s western suburbs.
Fimka is comfortable and capable of teaching all skill levels and ages. You can learn for AMEB exams, or just for fun!
Tuition Fees
Our fees are in line with those set by the Australian Strings Association.
- 30 minutes – $40.00
- 1 hour – $80.00
Stringtime also has holiday lessons available to students of all skill levels — especially useful for those studying for AMEB exams.
